Lorenzo and Virginia (Jean) Rubi

This page of this family website is dedicated to the memory of my parents, Lorenzo and Virginia (Lopez) Rubi.

They married on January 16, 1921 at Holbrook, Navajo, Arizona, and gave life to twelve children – Lorenzo Anthony (1921), Virginia Rose (1922-2001), Lorenzo Edward (1923-1976), Frank Robert (1925-2005), Beatrice Lucille (1926-1935), Lillian Margarita (1927-1928), Ernest Philip (1930-2005), Arthur David (1932-1993), Fred Anthony (1932-2014), John Ray, and Mary Linda.

Lorenzo was born on May 10, 1898 at St. Johns, Apache County, Arizona Territory. He was the son of Jose de Jesus Rubi and Damiana Garcia-Marquez. Dad died on June 6, 1947,  at Santa Cruz, New Mexico. He was buried at Desert View Cemetery in Winslow, Arizona.

Jean was born on April 1, 1902 at Holbrook, Navajo County, Arizona. She was the daughter of Antonio Lopez and Casimira Lopez. Mom died on January 30, 1992 at Garden Grove, California two months before what would have been her 90th birthday. She was buried at Desert View Cemetery in Winslow, Arizona. 

Pictured below are the eight children that lived to adulthood. All have passed on with the exception of John Ray and Mary Linda.
